Nichole “Cho” White earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Media Studies from the University of Minnesota. And a Master of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University.

In 2021, she started and founded the Bird Box Initiative, an organization that highlights and supports artistic youth. This passion-project has allowed her to celebrate the creative expressions and artistic mediums of individuals within her local community in Minneapolis, MN, and beyond. Due to health issues, she had to fully postpone all operations, but she continues to nurture her commitment to creativity through writing and workshopping with fellow writers.

Nichole resides in Bethel, MN, with her husband, four children, three dogs, a fish and a turtle. Dubbed “GOAT’d Voice” by Fifth grade students, she has been invited to speak at local school districts and read books by her favorite authors. These experiences are particularly meaningful to her, as she believes in encouraging youth to own one’s narrative and foster varying voices. Human-centered connections are a unifying theme throughout her public speaking engagements and personal writing journey.
